What a pain.001 file is — and why the version matters.
pain.001 is the ISO 20022 XML message used to initiate SEPA credit transfers: one file containing your debtor account, execution date, and a batch of payments. Banks accept specific pain.001 versions per upload channel, so a generator needs to produce the version your bank expects.

The 2019 ISO 20022 revision adopted by the SEPA schemes, with support for structured postal addresses. SEPA Generator can include optional structured address elements when generating pain.001.001.09.

SEPA Generator is a desktop application, not an online converter. Payment files often contain names, IBANs, and salary or supplier amounts — data you may not want to paste into a website. Generation and validation happen on your computer, and nothing is uploaded to a server.

Bank acceptance
Generated files are designed to follow the pain.001 SEPA Credit Transfer format. Final acceptance may depend on your bank, upload channel, account configuration, and bank-specific rules — test your first file with your banking portal before production use.
