Validation helps detect common input errors, but final bank acceptance may depend on your bank, upload channel, account configuration, and bank-specific rules. No tool can guarantee that a file will be accepted.
Validation questions
Is this an online SEPA validator?
No — and that is deliberate. SEPA payment files contain names, IBANs, and amounts. SEPA Generator is a desktop app that validates and generates files locally, so your payment data never leaves your computer.
Can it validate an existing pain.001 XML file?
SEPA Generator validates your input data (CSV, XLS, XLSX) before generating the XML, rather than auditing arbitrary third-party XML files. Generating from validated input is the most reliable way to produce a clean file.
Does validation guarantee my bank will accept the file?
No. Validation catches common input errors early, which removes the most frequent causes of rejection — but banks apply their own rules per channel and account. Always test your first file with your banking portal.
