SEPA Generator Pro 2.0.1
SEPA Generator Pro 2.0.1 is a maintenance release for organisations that submit SEPA files from any SEPA country. Everything is still processed and stored locally on your computer.
International initiating party identification
- The initiating party of a payment file can now carry an optional identifier of your choice, for example an identifier assigned by your bank, with an optional scheme (such as BANK or CUST) and an optional issuer. A French SIRET is no longer required.
- Available in the File Generator, in saved company profiles for Payments and Collections, and in Credit Transfer and Direct Debit files.
- Existing profiles that use a SIRET keep working and produce the same files as before.
- The initiating party identifier is separate from the Direct Debit creditor identifier (SEPA creditor ID), which is unchanged.
- pain.001.001.02 cannot carry a scheme name: the identifier is kept, the scheme is left out, and a warning says so. Choose pain.001.001.03 or .09 if your bank needs the scheme.
- Whether a bank accepts a file, and which identifier it expects, depends on your bank; check its requirements.
More broadly compatible suggested file names
- Suggested XML file names now look like
20260115_093000_PAIN001.xmlor..._PAIN008.xml: letters, digits and underscores only, which is compatible with the file name rules published by Bank of Ireland. You can still choose any name.
